Services

Most businesses don't need complicated tech, they need something reliable, understandable, and easy to maintain. Here are the most common ways I help.

New small business websites

A clean, professional website that explains what you do, helps customers contact you, and looks good on phones. Great for contractors, brick & mortar stores, restaurants, services, and small offices.

Fix or improve an existing website

If your site is outdated, slow, confusing, or hard to update, I can review it and recommend practical changes. Sometimes a few targeted fixes go a long way.

Business email, domains, and "behind the scenes" setup

I'll help you get your business email and domain set up correctly, in your own name, with the right providers, at a fair price. You stay in control and will always understand what you have.

Technology cost and vendor review

Not sure what you're paying for? I can review your current website/email/IT bills, explain what everything means, and tell you where you're overpaying or paying for services you don't need or could get free or much cheaper elsewhere.

A simple place to start

If you're unsure what you need, start with a free chat. I'll ask a few questions, take a quick look at your current setup (if you have one), and suggest the simplest next step.

Common outcomes

  • A website that's clear and professional
  • Email that's set up correctly and delivers reliably
  • Fewer vendors and less monthly waste
  • Security basics: backups, updates, and monitoring

Typical industry costs

Software doesn't have to be expensive. Many businesses overpay for simple services. Here are common price ranges for the basics. If you're paying significantly more than this, we should talk.

Domain Name

$10 – $20 / year

The "address" of your website (e.g. yourbusiness.com).

Business Email

$5 – $10 / user / month

Professional email (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, or other providers).

WordPress Website

$10 – $20 / month

Hosting for sites that update content frequently.

Static Website

~$5 / month

Fast, affordable hosting for sites that rarely change.

SSL Certificate

Free – $10 / year

The "lock" icon for HTTPS. Most modern hosts include this for free.

Payment Processing

~2.9% + 30¢ / transaction

Standard fee for credit cards (Square, Stripe, PayPal).

Are you paying more?

Many businesses end up locked into expensive platform packages or agency hosting that charges well above market rate. I can review your bills and often save you hundreds of dollars a year just by moving to standard, independent providers.

How it works

Clear steps, clear communication, no surprises.

1

Quick conversation

You tell me what's going on. If you're not sure what you need, I'll help narrow it down.

2

Simple plan

You get a straightforward recommendation: options, tradeoffs, rough budget, and timeline.

3

Build or improve

I deliver in small, reviewable steps so you can see progress and give feedback early.

4

Ongoing support (optional)

If you'd rather handle things yourself after launch, I'll document everything clearly so you can. Or I can stay on if you'd like.

FAQ

Do I need to know what I want before contacting you?

Nope. Most people don't. A short conversation is usually enough to figure out the simplest next step.

Do you only work with businesses in the Mount Washington Valley?

Local is my focus, but I can work with businesses outside the area as well, especially for contract work.

Can you help me get my domain and email set up correctly?

Yes. These are important to keep in your own name and under your own accounts. I won't take control of them, but I can make sure they're configured correctly, point you to the right providers, and document everything so you always know what you have.

How do you price projects?

It depends on the scope. Many small business websites work well as a fixed price project. Ongoing maintenance and support is typically monthly. For contracting, I'm available hourly or by retainer.

Do I own what you build?

Yes. The website files and all content on your site are yours. If you ever move on, you take them with you. Hosting runs on servers I own and manage, and the server configuration is my own. You pay a monthly fee to use that hosting. Any custom software built specifically for your project is yours to keep.

How long does a project take?

It varies. A simple website often takes 2-4 weeks. Larger custom software projects take longer, but I deliver in small, usable pieces so you're not waiting months to see progress.

Can we meet in person?

Yes. I'm based in North Conway and happy to meet at your business or a local coffee shop.

Can you host and deploy my website or work with my existing web designer?

Yes. If you already have a site, I can host and deploy it for a one-time setup fee plus a monthly hosting fee. I can also work alongside an existing web designer to handle the technical side: deployment, hosting, and any additional features they need built.
